Joe serves as the head procurement resource for the Janssen Supply Chain and is responsible for securing materials to support the $28 billion Janssen Pharmaceutical business. In addition Joe has been assigned Johnson and Johnson responsibility for Supplier Risk Management, Partner Development, Advanced Sourcing, Supplier Reliability, Compliance and Sustainability. Joe is well equipped to lead the group with his dynamic leadership style and 34 years of multi-functional experience.
In his 14 years at Johnson & Johnson, Joe has held several leadership positions of increasing scope. Prior to joining Janssen he designed and led the MD&D Indirect Procurement team as well as held the position of Category Leader for Construction Capital and Facilities. At Ethicon he designed and implemented a global procurement organization, had facilities and operations responsibility for the Ethicon corporate campus and served on two Management Boards. In parallel, he led the Construction Capital and Facilities Category team, the Manufacturing Excellence Program - ME2 – and was leader of the Operating Model team for the current Category Management structure.
Prior to joining Ethicon Joe was Vice President of Supply Chain for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. In that role he was responsible for the overall supply chain, including customer service and the Strasbourg France logistics center. Most notably, Joe and his team lead the successful centralization of supply chain and logistics services across Europe.
Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Joe spent 20 years at AlliedSignal, where he held senior director roles in Procurement, Operations, Materials Management and Program Management.
His passion and his hobby are the family- Janis, Elizabeth, Sal, Katherine, Larry, Thomas, Grace Mia Rose, and Ava Rose.
Joe has a Bachelor of Arts from Ramapo College of New Jersey and a Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Business at Ramapo College of New Jersey.
